I believe as educators we have the responsibility of providing the best education to our students. By creating and supporting a positive learning environment, students are able to grow not only intellectually, but also socially and emotionally. Children need to feel comfortable with themselves and the peers around them in order to successfully develop as individuals. By creating a classroom where everyone is accepted and multiculturalism is embraced, learning has no limits. An awareness of the various learning styles and needs of students is essential.

Differentiated instruction is a crucial part of all instructional planning and implementation of lessons. By creating lessons that meet an array of learning needs, all students in the classroom benefit. I feel educators should focus on students’ abilities. Every individual has abilities and as a teacher, I focus on bringing out the strengths of my students and providing support for areas of struggle. By using varied and relevant instruction applicable to students’ everyday lives, the best educational experience is provided.
