The Mt Holly Twp Public School community believes in our students. We have the highest expectations for them, their teachers, and their families. By increasing the rigor and expectations of the curriculum and instructional programs at the Pre-K level, and pushing students to achieve to at their potential as they enter each grade, Kindergarten to Grade 8, we are telling them they are worthy of the highest standards. We have raised the bar in Mt Holly in all academic areas and expect the best from our students. This will make us excellent and drive students to a brighter future.
All curriculum and instructional programs have been adopted by the Mt Holly Board of Education and are all aligned to the the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. Each grade and classroom is held accountable for following the standards in their content area. Administration ensures the curriculum is followed and supports the teachers with professional development to champion effective teaching and assist students through the learning process. Each curriculum is organized with pacing guides and unit assessments or quarterly benchmarks to identify common trends, program strengths, and/or student difficulties. The teachers are an integral part of curriculum and program design. Revisions are made to the curriculum each year based on teacher, administrative, and community input.
