Mission Statement for our Libraries
Mount Holly Township Public Schools provide students with direct instruction as well as support for classroom and independent learning, enabling them to become lifelong readers, lifelong library users, and lifelong learners. To support this mission the curriculum is guided by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Standards for the 21st Century Learner. As stated in the AASL standards, students living in a global community will use skills, resources and tools to:
- Inquire, think critically, and gain knowledge.
- Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge.
- Share knowledge and participate ethically and productively as members of our democratic society.
- Pursue personal and aesthetic growth.
